Solopreneur OG

When I started my design business—Sandpaper Studio—back in 2006, there was no one talking about Solopreneurship. The iPhone wasn’t even a thing. In fact, I didn’t even know that I was really a Solopreneur at heart when I started. I thought I’d build that hot design studio everyone dreamed of. The exposed brick, the glass walls, the energetic creators, the espresso machine…

After flirting with disaster trying to build a traditional business, I made the critical decision to build a new model. I thought about how I enjoyed working most by myself, then building teams around my insanely-talented network of designers, writers, photographers, developers, illustrators, and strategists.

I called it The Hub Model. It’s the model that enabled me to generate millions of dollars while living exactly how I wish. I do the work I want how I want for the people I want. And, I enjoy my day-to-day life in ways only retired people talk about.

This is the model that I used to help other Solopreneurs transform their businesses, and the same one I continue to use and improve to this day.

Delivering results straight to some big names

I know one thing for sure: You can’t serve the sophisticated needs of high-quality, professional clients unless you know what you’re doing. I’m proud of my track record with some incredible companies doing incredible work. My experience solving their complex problems has equipped me with more than enough strategic firepower to handle any of the challenges facing Solopreneurs. I also know a thing or two about how to land clients like these that will set you for life.

Take it from these rock stars.
